Vila z druhé poloviny 19. století s parčíkem a ptáci v korunách stromů
Vilu Zelenku vystavěl lékárník Josef Nevinný (1853-1923). Dle některých spekulací se jednalo o levobočka z Rohanského rodu. Pozemek pro stavbu koupil roku 1876. Jelikož pan lékárník měl dobré vazby na pány Sychrovského zámku, tak novostavba napodobovala styl sychrovského zámku, o čemž svědčila jak bohatá řezbářská výzdoba v průčelí, tak parčík s cennými dřevinami vysázenými okolo vily, které bylo do té doby možno vidět jen v zámeckém parku. Nevinný měl bezpochyby kontakty s Rohanským stavitelem Václavem Karnoldem (st.), jelikož jej zastupoval při zavádění nových pozemkových knih. Vila Zelenka byla postavena jako první letovisko (rekreační vila), které v následujících letech fungovalo v okolí Sychrovského zámku.
Lékárník Nevinný si vilu moc neužil a chvíli po dostavbě jí z finančních důvodů prodal Josefu Francovi, který ji vlastnil až do roku 1927. Toho roku koupil vilu Ing. Jaroslav Čechák. Ten za druhé světové války kolaboroval s Němci a po ukončení válečného konfliktu mu byla zabavena a spadla do majetku obce Radimovice. Od té doby vila ztrácela svoji krásu a lesk. Ve vile se udělaly byty, ve kterých se střídali různí nájemníci a obec prováděla jen nutné opravy.
V roce 2005 se obec rozhodla vilu prodat soukromému vlastníkovi, který přislíbil, že objekt opraví do původní podoby. V ten okamžik přišla pro vilu nejtěžší zkouška. Soukromý vlastník začal realizovat své velkolepé plány a vilu totálně zdevastoval. Někteří obyvatelé Radimovic se začali domnívat, že bude vila stržena a nezbude po ní ani památka.
Nakonec v roce 2015 vilu Zelenku koupil soukromý vlastník, který založil společnost Villa Zelenka s.r.o. Společnost celou budovu zrekonstruovala do původní podoby a nyní opět funguje jako rekreační letovisko. Nyní je možné se ubytovat v krásném prostředí vily na stránkách www.villazelenka.cz.
Proč se Vila Zelenka jmenuje Zelenka, když i malé dítě vidí, že je celá růžová? Vila byla postavena na místě, které se nazývalo „Na zelenovště“, od čehož bylo odvozeno jméno Zelenka.
V parku, který se rozkládá okolo zrekonstruované Vily Zelenka, můžeme zastihnout typické druhy ptáků, které obývají nejvyšší stromové patro. Některé původně lesní živočichy nalezneme častěji v zahradách a v parcích, než v hospodářských lesích, ze kterých jsou nejstarší stromy odstraňovány. V korunách okolních památných stromů můžeme pozorovat hnízda hrdliček zahradních a holubů hřivnáčů nebo strak a vran, jejichž opuštěná hnízda občas využijí poštolky. V květnu a v červnu zde můžeme pravidelně zaslechnout jednoho z nejlepších evropských pěvců sedmihláska hajního, jehož zpěv si můžete poslechnout.
V předjaří park pravidelně navštěvují bobuložravé druhy ptáků, které využívají dozrávající plody břečťanu.
Vila je oblíbeným hnízdištěm pro jiřičky. Hned první rok po rekonstrukci omítky se pod střechou objevilo 11 hnízd.
Villa Zelenka was built by pharmacist Josef Nevinný (1853–1923). Some speculate that he was an illegitimate child from the Rohan family. He purchased the land for construction in 1876. Because the pharmacist had strong connections with the owners of Sychrov Castle, the new building was designed in the style of the castle, as evidenced by the rich woodcarving decoration on the facade and the park with valuable trees planted around the villa, which could only be found previously in the castle park. Nevinný undoubtedly had contacts with the Rohan builder Václav Karnold, as he represented him in the introduction of new land books. Villa Zelenka was the first recreational villa in the area around Sychrov Castle and served as a resort in the following years.
Pharmacist Nevinný did not enjoy the villa for long and, shortly after its completion, sold it due to financial reasons to Josef Franc, who owned it until 1927. That year, the villa was purchased by Ing. Jaroslav Čechák. During the Second World War, he collaborated with the Germans, and after the war ended, the villa was confiscated and became property of the municipality of Radimovice. Since then, the villa began to lose its beauty and luster. The building was converted into apartments, with various tenants coming and going, and the municipality only carried out essential repairs.
In 2005, the municipality decided to sell the villa to a private owner who promised to restore it to its original state. However, this marked the villa's hardest test. The private owner began executing his grand plans, which ultimately led to the villa being completely devastated. Some Radimovice residents feared that the villa would be demolished and lost forever.
Finally, in 2015, Villa Zelenka was purchased by a private owner who founded the company Villa Zelenka s.r.o. The company fully reconstructed the building to its original form, and it now operates once again as a recreational resort. It is now possible to stay in the beautiful surroundings of the villa via the website www.villazelenka.cz.
As for the name "Zelenka," you may wonder why the villa is called that when it is clearly pink. The villa was built on land called "Na zelenovště," which is where the name "Zelenka" comes from.
In the park surrounding the renovated Villa Zelenka, you can encounter typical bird species that inhabit the highest tree levels. Some originally forest-dwelling animals are now more commonly found in gardens and parks than in managed forests, where the oldest trees are being removed. In the crowns of the surrounding landmark trees, you can observe nests of collared doves and stock pigeons, as well as magpies and crows. Their abandoned nests are sometimes used by kestrels. In May and June, one of Europe's best songbirds, the wood warbler (Phylloscopus sibilatrix), can be heard regularly. You can listen to its song.
In early spring, berry-eating bird species often visit the park, making use of the ripening ivy berries.
The villa is also a popular nesting site for house martins. In the first year after the reconstruction of the plaster, 11 nests appeared under the roof.
